ततो मेरुव्रजं नाम नगरं शैलतोरणम्‌ | शैलप्राकारवप्रं च शैलयन्त्राकुलं तथा

tato meruvrajaṃ nāma nagaraṃ śailatoraṇam | śailaprākāravapraṃ ca śailayantrākulaṃ tathā ||

やがて彼は「メールヴラジャ」と呼ばれる都に至った。その城門は石ででき、まるで山のごとくであった。都は岩の城壁と土塁に囲まれ、石造りの防衛装置が至るところに備えられていた。
