प्रादुर्भूतो5स्मि ते मित्र सुहृत्त्वंच मम त्वयि । सो<हं तथा यतिष्यामि भविष्यसि यथार्थवान्
prādurbhūto ’smi te mitra suhṛttvaṃ ca mama tvayi | so ’haṃ tathā yatiṣyāmi bhaviṣyasi yathārthavān ||
ビーシュマは言った。「友よ、いま私は汝のためにあらわに姿を現し、汝への好意はいよいよ深まった。ゆえに私は、汝が真に求める目的（アルタ／artha）を成就した者となるよう、そのように努めよう。」
