मृत्यु-काल-प्रबोधनम् (Instruction on Mortality, Time, and Truth) — Mahābhārata, Śānti-parva 169
त्वद्दर्शनात् तु विप्रेन्द्र कृतार्थो 5स्म्यद्य वै द्विज । आवां हि सह यास्याव: श्वो वसस्वाद्य शर्वरीम्
tvaddarśanāt tu viprendra kṛtārtho 'smy adya vai dvija | āvām hi saha yāsyāvaḥ śvo vasasvādya śarvarīm ||
ビーシュマは言った。「おお、婆羅門のうち最もすぐれた方よ。今日あなたにお目にかかり、わが願いは成就したと感じる。おお、二度生まれし者よ、今宵はここに留まり給え。明朝、暁の刻に、われら二人で共に旅立とう。」
