anyonyam abhinardanto diśaḥ sampratipedire |
ビーシュマは語った。互いに怒号して責め合いながら、彼らは散り散りとなって四方へ逃げ、あらゆる方角に庇護を求めた。剣に打たれた者は勇気を捨て、ただ安全を求めて乱れて走るのである。
भीष्म उवाच
The verse highlights how violence and panic dissolve unity: when fear takes over, people turn on each other with blame and scatter, showing the ethical cost of conflict—loss of composure, solidarity, and right conduct.
Those involved in the fighting, overwhelmed and distressed, shout at one another and then flee in different directions, seeking safety rather than continuing the confrontation.
