शुशुभाते5तिविमले द्वे नेत्रे कृष्णपिड्ले । उसने काले मृगचर्मको वस्त्रके रूपमें धारण कर रक्खा था
śuśubhāte 'tivimale dve netre kṛṣṇapiṅgale | sa kāle mṛgacarmako vastrārūpeṇa dhārayām āsa, yasmin suvarṇanirmitāḥ tārāḥ jaḍitāḥ āsan | sa sva-lalāṭe sūrya-sadṛśaṃ tejasvi netraṃ dhārayām āsa | tat-śeṣe kṛṣṇa-piṅgalavarṇe dve atyanta-nirmale netre ca śobhāṃ prāpnutaḥ |
ビーシュマは語った。「その両眼は、黒と黄褐の色を帯び、きわめて清らかで美しく輝いていた。彼は黒き羚羊の皮を衣としてまとい、そこには黄金の星のごとき飾りがちりばめられていた。額には太陽のように燃え立つ光輝の眼を宿し、さらにそのほかの黒と黄褐の二眼もまた、汚れなく照り映えていた。」
