अद्रोह: सर्वभूतेषु कर्मणा मनसा गिरा । अनुग्रहश्न दानं च सतां धर्म: सनातन:,मन, वाणी और क्रियाद्वारा सभी प्राणियोंके साथ कभी द्रोह न करना तथा दया और दान--यह श्रेष्ठ पुरुषोंका सनातन धर्म है
adrohaḥ sarvabhūteṣu karmaṇā manasā girā | anugrahaś ca dānaṃ ca satāṃ dharmaḥ sanātanaḥ ||
ビーシュマは言った。「いかなる生きとし生けるものに対しても、行いによっても、思いによっても、言葉によっても怨みを抱かず、慈悲を示し、惜しみなく施すこと——これこそ善き者・高貴なる者の永遠のダルマである。」
भीष्म उवाच
True dharma for the virtuous is universal non-hostility—never harming or bearing malice toward any being in action, thought, or speech—together with compassion and charitable giving.
In the Shanti Parva’s instruction section, Bhishma continues advising Yudhishthira on righteous conduct after the war, defining the timeless marks of a good person’s dharma: harmlessness, compassion, and generosity.
