इस प्रकार श्रीमद्ा भारत शान्तिपर्वके अन्तर्गत आपद्धर्मपर्वमें पवन-शाल्मलि-संवादविषयक एक सौ छप्पनवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ
iti prakāraḥ śrīmad-bhārate śānti-parvaṇi antargate āpad-dharma-parvaṇi pavana-śālmalī-saṃvāda-viṣayaka eka-śata-ṣaṭ-pañcāśattamaḥ adhyāyaḥ pūrṇaḥ
かくして、尊き『マハーバーラタ』の「シャーンティ・パルヴァ」（Śānti Parva）に属する「アーパッドダルマ」（Āpaddharma）篇において、パヴァナ（風）とシャールマリー樹（Śālmalī）との対話を説く第百五十六章は終わった。ここに掲げられた結語（コロフォン）は、艱難の時における行いの倫理をめぐる教説の一段が、ビーシュマ（Bhīṣma）の伝授として完結したことを告げる。
