अहं त्वामभिजानामि विदितश्नचासि मे ट्रुम । पितामह: प्रजासर्गे त्वयि विश्रान्तवान्‌ प्रभु:,वृक्ष! मैं तुम्हें अच्छी तरह जानता हूँ। तुम्हारे विषयमें मुझे सब कुछ ज्ञात है। भगवान्‌ ब्रह्माजीने प्रजाकी सृष्टि करते समय तुम्हारी छायामें विश्राम किया था

ahaṁ tvām abhijānāmi viditaś ca asi me drumā | pitāmahaḥ prajā-sarge tvayi viśrāntavān prabhuḥ ||

ビーシュマは言った。「おお樹よ、私はお前をよく知っている。お前のことはすべて承知している。主にして祖父たる梵天ブラフマーが衆生創造に携わっていたとき、お前の木陰で休まれたのだ。」
