वरमस्मै प्रयच्छेयुस्ततो जीवेदयं शिशु: । यदि भगवान् शिव, कुमार कार्तिकेय, ब्रह्माजी और भगवान् विष्णु इसे वर दें तो यह बालक जी सकता है
varam asmai prayaccheyus tato jīved ayaṃ śiśuḥ | yadi bhagavān śivaḥ, kumāraḥ kārtikeyaḥ, brahmājī ca bhagavān viṣṇuś ca asmai varaṃ dadyuḥ, tadā ayaṃ bālakaḥ jīvet |
ジャンブカは言った。「もし彼にヴァラ（恩寵の願い）が授けられるなら、この乳児は生き得よう。まことに、福徳の主シヴァ、若き神クマーラ・カールティケーヤ、ブラフマー、そして主ヴィシュヌが恩寵を与えるのでなければ、この子は生き残れぬ。」
