इति श्रीमहाभारते शान्तिपर्वणि आपद्धर्मपर्वणि कपोतस्वर्गगमने अष्टचत्वारिंशदिधिकशततमो< ध्याय:,इस प्रकार श्रीमह्याभारत शान्तिपर्वके अन्तर्गत आपद्धर्मपर्वमें कबृतरका स्वर्गगमनविषयक एक सौ अड़तालीसवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ
iti śrīmahābhārate śāntiparvaṇi āpaddharmaparvaṇi kapotasvargagamane aṣṭacatvāriṃśad-adhikaśatatamo 'dhyāyaḥ |
かくして『シュリー・マハーバーラタ』の『シャーンティ・パルヴァ』、とりわけ「アーパッドダルマ（窮乏時の法）」の章において、「鳩の天界往生」を説く第百四十八章はここに終わる。（この奥書は教訓譚の結びを告げる。すなわち、極限の苦難にあっても揺るがぬ慈悲と自己犠牲こそがダルマを担い、天界へ導くと確証するのである。）
