कपोती-विलापः स्वर्गसंयोगश्च
The Dove’s Lament and Celestial Reunion
शरणं यामि यान्यस्मिन् दैवतानि वनस्पतौ । इसके बाद उसने उस वृक्षके नीचे ही रातभर रहनेका निश्चय किया। फिर हाथ जोड़ प्रणाम करके उस वनस्पतिसे कहा--“इस वृक्षपर जो-जो देवता हों, उन सबकी मैं शरण लेता हूँ
śaraṇaṃ yāmi yāny asmin daivatāni vanaspatau |
ビーシュマは語った。「この木に宿るいかなる神々にも、われは帰依する。」彼は合掌して木に礼拝し、その木の下で夜を徹して過ごすことを決めた。木に住まうと信じられる聖なる臨在の守護に身を委ねたのであり、それは謙虚さと信心、そして自然を神性の器として敬う倫理を映し出す行いであった。
