न त्वेव वचन किंचिदनिमित्तादिहोच्यते । सुविनीतेन शास्त्रेण न व्यवस्यन्त्यथापरे

ビーシュマは言った。「ここにおいて賢者は、理由なくして一語たりとも口にしない。だが多くの者は、よく教え伝えられた聖典（シャーストラ）の導きに従って行おうと決意しない。教えはこうだ――言葉は目的をもって発せられるべきであり、真の学びは単なる読誦ではなく、規律ある行いによって証される。」
