कालाकालौ सम्प्रधार्य बलाबलमथात्मन: । परस्य च बल ज्ञात्वा तत्रात्मानं नियोजयेत्‌,“अपने लिये समय अच्छा है या खराब? अपना पक्ष प्रबल है या निर्बल? इन सब बातोंका निश्चय करके तथा शत्रुके भी बलको समझकर युद्ध या संधि के कार्यमें अपने आपको लगावे

kālā-kālau sampradhārya balābalam athātmanaḥ | parasya ca balaṃ jñātvā tatrātmānaṃ niyojayet ||
