Dasyu-maryādā and Buddhi-guided Rāja-nīti (दस्युमर्यादा तथा बुद्धिप्रधान-राजनीति)
ततो<गच्छत् परां वृद्धिं राजपुत्र: फलाशनात् । ततः स धात्र्या कक्षेण उह्मुमानो नृपात्मज:
tato ’gacchat parāṁ vṛddhiṁ rājaputraḥ phalāśanāt | tataḥ sa dhātryā kakṣeṇa ūhūmāno nṛpātmajaḥ ||
その後、果実を食として養われた王子は、いよいよ栄え、力強く成長した。ついで王の御子は乳母の抱擁に密に抱かれ、細やかな看護を受けつつ、健やかに背丈を増しながら運ばれていった。
भीष्म उवाच
The verse highlights the dharmic duty of nurturing and protecting the young: proper, simple nourishment and attentive caregiving enable a child—especially one of royal responsibility—to flourish.
Bhīṣma describes a prince who grows and thrives on a fruit-based diet, and then is carried and tended closely by his nurse, indicating careful upbringing and protection.
