ko daṇḍaḥ kīdṛśo daṇḍaḥ kiṃrūpaḥ kiṃparāyaṇaḥ | kimātmakaḥ kathaṃbhūtaḥ kathaṃmūrtiḥ kathaṃ prabho ||
ユディシュティラは問うた。「ダンダとは何ですか。いかなる性質をもち、どのような形をとり、究極には何を拠り所として立つのですか。主よ、それは何から成り、いかにして生じ、どのような姿—いかなる具現—を帯びるのですか。」
