Transliteration

khātaka-vyūha-tattva-jñaṁ bala-harṣaṇa-kovidam | iddhitākāra-tattva-jñaṁ yātrā-jñāna-viśāradam ||

Translation

ビーシュマは言った。「王は大臣として、壕を掘り戦陣を組む真の理を知り、軍の力を奮い立たせ鼓舞するに巧みで、城塞と防備の実際をわきまえ、遠征と行軍の学に通暁した者を任じるべきである。」
