Nīti-upadeśa to a Rājaputra: Self-restraint, Alliances, and Rival-Management (नीतिउपदेशः)
दातुमर्ति ते वित्त वैदेह: सत्यसंगर: । प्रमाणं सर्वभूतेषु प्रग्रहं च भविष्यसि
dātum arhati te vittaṃ vaidehaḥ satyasaṅgaraḥ | pramāṇaṃ sarvabhūteṣu pragrahaṃ ca bhaviṣyasi ||
ビーシュマは言った。「真実に堅く、誓約に揺るがぬヴィデーハ王は、汝に財を授けるにふさわしい。清らかな行いと優れた功績によって、その信任を勝ち取れ。もし王がそれを成すなら、汝はあらゆる生きとし生けるものにとって信頼の規範となり、統治における王の有能な右腕となろう。」
