sābhigamya vasiṣṭhaṃ ca idam artham acodayat | baduktā saritāṃ śreṣṭhā viśvāmitreṇa dhīmatā ||
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは語った。彼女はヴァシシュタのもとへ赴き、この件について促した。かくして賢者ヴィシュヴァーミトラに言い渡された川々の最上(ガンガー)は、その求めに応じて答えた。
वैशम्पायन उवाच
