Saptasārasvata-tīrtha-prasaṅgaḥ | The Saptasārasvata Pilgrimage Account and the Maṅkaṇaka Narrative
तत्र दत्त्वा हलधरो विप्रेभ्यो विविधं वसु
tatra dattvā haladharo viprebhyo vividhaṃ vasu, prayayau sahito vipraiḥ stūyamānaś ca mādhavaḥ |
そこでハラダラ(バララーマ)は、ブラーフマナたちに種々の財を施し、彼らを伴ってその地を発った。その折、マーダヴァは称賛の声を受けていた。この場面は、学識ある客人を厚い贈与と饗応によって敬うべき徳を示し、満ち足りたブラーフマナたちの祝福と讃歌の中でバララーマが旅立つさまを描き出す。
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights dharma through dāna and atithi-satkara: honoring brāhmaṇas/learned guests with generous gifts and respectful hospitality, leading to social harmony and blessings expressed as praise.
Balarāma (Haladhara) gives various kinds of wealth to the brāhmaṇas and then departs together with them; along the way, Mādhava is being praised, indicating a devotional and auspicious atmosphere surrounding the departure.
