Kṛpa’s Counsel to Duryodhana
आसाद्य भीमसेन ते संरब्धा युद्धदुर्मदा:
āsādya bhīmasena te saṃrabdhā yuddha-durmadāḥ
サンジャヤは言った。ビーマセーナに迫り来た彼らは、怒りに燃え、戦の酔いに理を失って無謀となり、彼に挑まんと前へ前へと押し寄せた。
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights how anger and battle-frenzy can overpower judgment: warriors, intoxicated by combat, rush toward a formidable opponent. It implicitly warns that uncontrolled passion (krodha, durmada) drives action in war, often eclipsing discernment and restraint.
Sañjaya reports that a group of warriors closes in on Bhīma. They are provoked and emboldened by the heat of battle, and they advance to engage him directly.
