Dhṛtarāṣṭra–Saṃjaya Dialogue: Duryodhana’s Entry into the Lake
ततो गान्धारकैर्गुप्तं पुष्ठैरश्वैर्जये धृतम्
tato gāndhārakair guptaṃ pṛṣṭhair aśvair jaye dhṛtam
サンジャヤは言った。「そののち彼は、ガンダーラの戦士たちに守られ、後方からの俊足の馬に押し立てられて、勝勢の渦の中を前へと運ばれた――戦の潮目が変わるときにも庇護を得たのである。これは、戦においては強者といえども、忠実な護衛と規律ある支援に依らねばならぬことを示していた。」
