दृष्टवा विनिहतान् शूरान् पृथड्माण्डलिकान् नृपान् | बलिनश्च रणे कृष्ण नैवाशाम्यत वैशसम्
dṛṣṭvā vinihatān śūrān pṛthag-māṇḍalikān nṛpān | balinaś ca raṇe kṛṣṇa naivāśāmyata vaiśasam ||
サञ्जयは言った。「おお、クリシュナよ。諸々の領邦を治める勇壮にして強大な王たちが戦場で討たれるのを目の当たりにしても、この恐るべき殺戮は鎮まらず、戦の炎はなお消えなかった。」
