Transliteration

cakrair vimathitaiḥ kecit kecic chinnair mahādhvajaiḥ

Translation

サンジャヤは言った。「ある者は戦車の輪に轢き砕かれ、引き裂かれた。ある者は大旗の林立するただ中で斬り伏せられた。」それは戦場の容赦なき暴虐の相であり、誇りや華やかな誇示（旗印）も、戦の報いから身を守る盾とはならぬことを示していた。
