サンジャヤは言った。パーンチャーラ勢は数多の軍楽器を打ち鳴らし、獅子のごとき咆哮を上げた。その時、先に宣した誓願を改めて立てたユディシュティラ王は、マドラ王シャリヤを討たんと進撃した。法螺貝と大鼓、数知れぬ戦鼓の轟きは、衆の決意を告げる一つの宣言となった。
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights the ethical weight of a publicly made vow and the Kṣatriya ideal of steadfastness: once a righteous resolve is declared, a leader must act with courage and responsibility, supported by the collective morale of allies.
As Yudhiṣṭhira moves to engage Śalya, the Madra king, the Pañcāla warriors intensify the battlefield atmosphere by sounding many instruments and shouting lion-roars, signaling the army’s readiness and rallying spirit.
