Transliteration
āvārya pāṇḍavaṃ bāṇair hantukāmo mahābalaḥ
Translation
サンジャヤは言った。矢の雨で彼はパーンダヴァを押しとどめ、そして――殺意を抱いて――大いなる力で迫り来た。この句は戦の陰鬱な推進力を強調する。武の力は意図的な破壊の意志に導かれ、戦場で抑制が崩れ落ちるとき、「欲望／決意（kāma/saṅkalpa）」が行為を駆動することを示している。
