स पुनर्हदयं कस्य क्रूरस्यापि न निर्दहेत्‌ । *धृष्टद्युम्न तो पिताजीका वध करनेके कारण मेरा वध्य होगा और उसके संगी-साथी जो पांचाल हैं

Transliteration

sa punar hṛdayaṁ kasya krūrasyāpi na nirdahēt |

Translation

クリパは言った。「さらに言えば、これを聞いて、たとえ残忍な者であっても、誰の心が悲しみに灼かれずにいられようか。父を討ったドリシュタデュムナは我が手で斬る。彼に与したパンチャーラの者どもも、同じく討たれるであろう。そして、腿を砕かれたドゥルヨーダナ王の嘆き——我が耳で聞いたその声を——聞いて、どのような剛き心の男が、悲嘆に焼かれずにいられよう。」
