ते त्वास्थाय रथान् सर्वे बहुशस्त्रपरिच्छदान् । अभिष्नन्तो रथव्रातान् सेनायोगाय निर्ययु:
te tv āsthāya rathān sarve bahuśastra-paricchadān | abhiṣṇanto rathavrātān senāyogāya niryayuḥ ||
ドゥルヨーダナは言った。「それから彼らは皆、多くの武器と軍具を備えた戦車に乗り込んだ。敵方の車戦の兵を討ち滅ぼす意図を抱き、軍勢を集め、陣立てを整えるために出陣したのである。」
दुर्योधन उवाच
The verse highlights the momentum of conflict: once leaders choose hostility, resources and people are rapidly organized toward violence. Ethically, it underscores how intention (to destroy the enemy’s warriors) shapes collective action, foreshadowing the consequences of adharma-driven ambition.
Duryodhana reports that the warriors have mounted fully equipped chariots and gone out to gather and arrange the army, aiming to attack and destroy the opposing chariot-warriors.
