निवार्य च महाबाहुं कोपसंरक्तलोचनम् | पितरं समुपातिष्ठद् धृतराष्ट्र कृताञ्जलि:,उस समय महाबाहु भीमके नेत्र क्रोधसे लाल हो रहे थे। उन्हें रोककर राजा युधिष्ठिर हाथ जोड़े हुए अपने ताऊ महाराज धृतराष्ट्रके पास गये
nivārya ca mahābāhuṁ kopasaṁraktalocanam | pitaraṁ samupātiṣṭhad dhṛtarāṣṭra kṛtāñjaliḥ ||
怒りで目を赤くした大腕のビーマを制してから、ユディシュティラは年長の王ドリタラーシュトラのもとへ進み、合掌してその前に立った――激発ではなく、抑制と敬意を選んだのである。
