वैशम्पायन उवाच सा तेन च समाधूता दुःखेन च तपस्विनी । पतिता विललापेदं सभायामतथोचिता,वैशम्पायनजी कहते हैं--जनमेजय! दुशासनके बार-बार खींचनेसे तपस्विनी द्रौपदी पृथ्वीपर गिर पड़ी और उस सभामें अत्यन्त दु:खित हो विलाप करने लगी। वह जिस दुरवस्थामें पड़ी थी, उसके योग्य कदापि न थी

vaiśampāyana uvāca sā tena ca samādhūtā duḥkhena ca tapasvinī | patitā vilalāpedam sabhāyām atathocitā ||

ヴァイシャンパーヤナは語った。「ジャナメージャヤよ。彼に幾度も引きずられ、苦行者のごとき心を持つドラウパディーは悲嘆に圧されて地に倒れた。王の सभाにおいて、そのような姿は彼女にまことに不相応であったが、彼女は胸裂ける嘆きをあげ始めた。」
