सभा-पर्व, अध्याय ६१ — द्रौपदी-प्रश्नः, सभाधर्मः, सत्यवचन-नियमः
मेरे पास हजारों निष्कोंसे- भरी हुई बहुत-सी सुन्दर पेटियाँ रखी हैं। इसके सिवा खजाना है, अक्षय धन है और अनेक प्रकारके सुवर्ण हैं। राजन! मेरा यह सब धन दाँवपर लगा दिया गया। मैं इसीके द्वारा तुम्हारे साथ खेलता हूँ ।।
vaiśampāyana uvāca | kauravāṇāṁ kulakaraṁ jyeṣṭhaṁ pāṇḍavam acyutam | ity uktaḥ śakuniḥ prāha jitam ity eva taṁ nṛpam ||
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは語った。パーンダヴァの長子にして、クル族の名高き嫡流、礼法を決して踏み外さぬ王ユディシュティラがそのように述べ終えると、シャクニはただ一言、王に答えた――「勝った。これもまた、わしの勝ちだ」。
