दुरोदरा विहिता ये तु तत्र महात्मना धृतराष्ट्रेण राज्ञा । तान् द्रक्ष्य्से कितवान् संनिविष्टा- नित्यागतो<हं नूपते तज्जुषस्व,महामना राजा धृतराष्ट्रने वहाँ जो जूएके स्थान बनवाये हैं, उनको और वहाँ जुटकर बैठे हुए धूर्त जुआरियोंको तुम देखोगे। राजन! मैं इसीलिये आया हूँ। तुम चलकर उस सभा एवं द्यूतक्रीड़ाका सेवन करो
durōdarā vihitā ye tu tatra mahātmanā dhṛtarāṣṭreṇa rājñā | tān drakṣyase kitavān saṁniviṣṭān ity āgato 'haṁ nṛpate taj juṣasva ||
ヴィドゥラは言った。「王よ、偉大なる心をもつ王ドリタラーシュトラが設けた賭場の殿を、そしてその内に群れ坐す狡猾な賭博師たちを、あなたは見るであろう。まさにそのために私は来たのです、統べる者よ。行ってその सभा（集会）とその賽の勝負に加わりなさい。」
