Escalation of Wagers and Shakuni’s Repeated Declarations of Victory
सुखोषितास्ते रजनीं प्रात: सर्वे कृताह्िका: । सभां रम्यां प्रविविशु: कितवैरभिनन्दिता:
sukhoṣitās te rajanīṁ prātaḥ sarve kṛtāhnikāḥ | sabhāṁ ramyāṁ praviviśuḥ kitavair abhinanditāḥ ||
彼らは安らかに夜を過ごし、暁に皆が朝の作法を果たした。やがて麗しき सभा（ सभा सभा सभा ）の大広間へ入ると、賭博の徒が歓呼して迎え、喝采した——儀礼の端正さが、欺きのために設えられた場に足を踏み入れた瞬間、道徳の危地と同居し得ることを告げる不吉な徴である。
