Escalation of Wagers and Shakuni’s Repeated Declarations of Victory
प्रविवेश गृहं राज्ञो धृतराष्ट्रस्य धीमत: । ददर्श तत्र गान्धारीं देवीं पतिमनुव्रताम्
praviveśa gṛhaṃ rājño dhṛtarāṣṭrasya dhīmataḥ | dadarśa tatra gāndhārīṃ devīṃ patimanuvratām ||
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは語った。彼は賢王ドリタラーシュトラの御殿に入った。そこで目にしたのは王妃ガーンダーリー――高貴なる后にして、貞節の誓いを堅く守り、夫に寄り添い尽くす者。王宮の内における妻のダルマの姿であった。
