The verse highlights a dharmic model of rulership: royal power and prosperity are to be exercised with humility and under the auspicious, guiding presence of brāhmaṇas—symbolizing respect for learning, ritual propriety, and moral restraint.
The narrator reports that the king (contextually, the central royal figure of the episode) departs in a procession, shining with royal magnificence, and deliberately places brāhmaṇas at the front as a mark of honor and auspicious protocol.
