bhrātur vacanam ājñāya pāṇḍavā dharmacāriṇaḥ | yathāhaṁ nṛpatīn svanikaiḥ ekaikaṁ samanuvrajan |
Righteous people uphold dharma not only in private virtue but also through disciplined obedience, orderly conduct, and respect for proper procedure—especially in dealings involving rulers and public assemblies.
Vaiśampāyana reports that the Pāṇḍavas, heeding their brother’s instruction, proceed in an organized way: each goes with his own attendants and accompanies the kings in due sequence.
