Adhyāya 45 — Duryodhana’s Distress, Śakuni’s Counsel, and the Summons for Dyūta
शशंसुर्निर्वता: सर्वे दृष्टवा कृष्णस्य विक्रमम् । बड़े-बड़े ऋषि, महात्मा ब्राह्मणों तथा महाबली भूमिपालोंने भगवान् श्रीकृष्णका वह पराक्रम देखकर अत्यन्त प्रसन्न हो उनकी स्तुति करते हुए उन्हींकी शरण ली
śaśaṃsur nirvatāḥ sarve dṛṣṭvā kṛṣṇasya vikramam |
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは語った。クリシュナの大いなる武威を目の当たりにして、皆は歓喜に満たされ、たちまち讃嘆の声を上げた。偉大なるリシたち、徳高きブラーフマナたち、そして強大な諸王は、見たものに心躍らせ、彼を讃え、彼に帰依した。
वैशम्पायन उवाच
True greatness evokes not fear alone but reverent recognition: when divine or righteous power is witnessed, the proper response is humility, praise, and śaraṇāgati—seeking protection and guidance in what upholds dharma.
After seeing Kṛṣṇa’s extraordinary prowess, the assembled sages, eminent brāhmaṇas, and mighty rulers become deeply pleased; they openly praise him and align themselves with him by taking refuge in him.
