ततः सैनिकवर्गश्चि निर्ययुर्नगराद् बहि: । यानैरश्वैर्गजैश्वैव श्रीमन्तस्तिग्मतेजस:,इसके बाद सैनिकोंके समुदाय, जो शोभासम्पन्न और प्रचण्ड तेजस्वी थे, रथ, घोड़े और हाथियोंपर सवार होकर नगरसे बाहर निकले
tataḥ sainikavargaś ca niryayur nagarād bahiḥ | yānair aśvair gajaiś caiva śrīmantaḥ tigmategasaḥ ||
ついで、姿も華やかで気迫も鋭い兵の一団が、車に乗り、馬と象にまたがって、都の外へと進み出た。
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Even orderly military strength and outward splendor cannot avert outcomes driven by accumulated adharma and destiny; the Mausala Parva repeatedly shows how power, when entangled with inevitable decline, becomes an instrument of destruction rather than protection.
The narrator describes troops leaving the city in an organized departure, mounted on vehicles, horses, and elephants—setting the stage for the ensuing conflict and the catastrophic events that unfold in the Mausala Parva.
