उत्पातदर्शनम् — Portents and Kāla among the Vṛṣṇis
इत्येवमुक्त्वा खड्गेन केशवस्य समीपत: । अभिद्रुत्य शिर: क्रुद्धश्चिच्छेद कृतवर्मण:,ऐसा कहकर कुपित हुए सात्यकिने श्रीकृष्णके पाससे दौड़कर तलवारसे कृतवर्माका सिर काट लिया
ity evam uktvā khaḍgena keśavasya samīpataḥ | abhidrutya śiraḥ kruddhaś ciccheda kṛtavarmaṇaḥ ||
そう言い終えるや、怒りに呑まれたサーティヤキはケーシャヴァ(クリシュナ)の傍らから駆け出し、剣をもってクリタヴァルマンの首を斬り落とした。
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights the ethical danger of krodha (anger): when vengeance governs action, even celebrated heroes commit extreme violence, accelerating social and moral breakdown after the war.
After speaking, Sātyaki, enraged, rushes from near Kṛṣṇa (Keśava) and decapitates Kṛtavarman with a sword, marking a brutal escalation in the internecine violence of the Mausala Parva.
