Omens Observed and the Hearing of the Vṛṣṇi Destruction
एते चान्ये च बहव उत्पाता भयशंसिन: । दृश्यन्ते बहवो राजन् हृदयोद्वेगकारका:
ete cānye ca bahava utpātā bhayaśaṃsinaḥ | dṛśyante bahavo rājan hṛdayodvegakārakāḥ ||
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは言った。「これらに加え、なお多くの凶兆—恐れを告げる徴—が、大王よ、数多く現れ、人の心をかき乱している。」
वैशम्पायन उवाच
When many fear-indicating portents arise, they function as moral and karmic warnings: inner agitation is not random but a sign that destructive consequences are ripening, urging vigilance and restraint.
Vaiśampāyana reports to the king that numerous ominous signs are appearing. The atmosphere is charged with foreboding, preparing the listener for the impending calamity described in the Mausala Parva.
