ततोअन्यदस्त्रं कौन्तेयो दयितं जातवेदस: । मुमोच कर्णमुद्दिश्य तत् प्रजज्वाल तेजसा
tato 'nyad astraṃ kaunteyo dayitaṃ jātavedasaḥ | mumoca karṇam uddiśya tat prajajvāla tejasā ||
サञ्जयは言った。ついでクンティの子は、ジャータヴェーダス（アグニ）に愛される別の武器を、カルナめがけて放った。そのアグネーヤの飛翔体は自らのテージャスにより点火され、赫々と燃え上がった—決闘の破壊の勢いをさらに増し、神力はいったん戦に召されれば、凡人の抑制を超えて増幅してゆくことを示した。
