अध्याय ९ — कर्णस्य प्रहारः, योधयुग्मनियोजनम्, शैनेय-कैकेययोर्युद्धविन्यासः
न ह्ान्यदपि पश्यामि कारणं तस्य नाशने । न हन्मि फाल्गुनं यावत् तावत् पादौ न धावये
na hy anyad api paśyāmi kāraṇaṁ tasya nāśane | na hanmi phālgunaṁ yāvat tāvat pādau na dhāvaye ||
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは言った。「彼の滅びに他の理由は見当たらぬ。ファールグナ（アルジュナ）を討ち倒すまでは、我が足に戦場から逃げ去らせはしない。」
