इस प्रकार श्रीमह्याभारत कर्णपर्वमें शक़ुनिकी पराजयविषयक सतहत्तरवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ
iti prakāraḥ śrīmahābhārate karṇaparvaṇi śakunikī-parājaya-viṣayakaḥ saptasaptatitamo 'dhyāyaḥ pūrṇaḥ
かくして『マハーバーラタ』「カルナ・パルヴァ」において、シャクニの敗北を主題とする第七十七章は終わった。結語は叙事詩の道徳的な筋道を示す――戦乱の渦中にあっても、欺きと人を操る策謀は、正しき因果(ダルマ)の成り行きによってついに裁かれるのである。
