Transliteration

tata āśliṣya taṁ premṇā mūrdhni cāghrāya pāṇḍavaḥ | prītyā paramayā yukto vismayaṁś ca punaḥ punaḥ ||

Translation

サञ्जयは語った。ついでそのパーンダヴァは愛情をこめて彼を抱き、頭頂に口づけ（あるいは香を嗅ぐように触れ）た。至上の歓喜に満たされ、彼は驚嘆を幾度も繰り返し表した—それは血縁と敬意の親密な所作であり、戦の苛烈さをひととき、人間的な感謝と認知によって和らげたのである。
