कर्णस्य सेनापत्यं, माकरव्यूहः, पाण्डवानामर्धचन्द्रव्यूहः

धृतराष्ट उवाच आखेयाता जीवमाना ये5परे सैन्या यथायथम् | इतीदमवगच्छामि व्यक्तमर्थाभिपत्तित:
dhṛtarāṣṭra uvāca: ākhyātā jīvamānā ye 'pare sainyā yathā-yatham | itīdam avagacchāmi vyaktam arthābhipattitaḥ ||
ドリタラーシュトラは言った。「サンジャヤよ、そなたは我が軍のうち、誰がなお生き、誰がすでに討たれたかを、ありのままに正確に語った。そこから、そなたの言葉に必然として伴う帰結を推し量り、私は結末を明らかに悟った——我が方の敗北は疑いない。」
