ततो यौधिष्ठिरं सैन्यं वध्यमानं महात्मना
Transliteration
tato yauḍhiṣṭhiraṃ sainyaṃ vadhyamānaṃ mahātmanā
Translation
そののち、あの大いなる魂の戦士に討ち払われ、ユディシュティラの軍勢は甚だしい損耗に苦しみ始めた――戦が容赦なく勢いを増してゆくさまの象徴であり、たとえ正義の旗の下であっても、戦場の暴力がもたらす苛烈な帰結を免れ得ぬことを示している。
