अर्जुनस्य शीघ्रप्रयाणं भीम-शकुनियुद्धं च

वर्तमाने तथा रौद्रे संग्रामे5द्भुतदर्शने,जब इस प्रकार दिखायी देनेवाला वह भयंकर संग्राम चल ही रहा था, उस समय दूसरी ओर विजयी वीसमे | श्रेष्ठ अर्जुन सेनाके मध्यभागमें बहुत-से संशप्तकोंका संहार करके भगवान् श्रीकृष्णसे बोले--
sañjaya uvāca | vartamāne tathā raudre saṅgrāme ’dbhuta-darśane | tadānyato vijayī vīraḥ śreṣṭho ’rjunaḥ senā-madhyabhāge bahūn saṃsaptakān saṃhatya bhagavantaṃ śrīkṛṣṇaṃ pratyuvāca ||
サンジャヤは言った――その恐るべき戦いが、怒りの猛威に満ち、しかも目を奪うほどの壮観としてなお荒れ狂っている最中、勝利の英雄アルジュナは戦士の中の第一人者として、軍勢のただ中で多くのサンシャプタカを討ち、至福なる主シュリー・クリシュナに語りかけた。
