ततो<5परेण भल्लेन केतुं विव्याध मारिष । स वानरवरो राजन् विश्वकर्मकृतो महान्
tato 'pareṇa bhallena ketuṁ vivyādha māriṣa | sa vānaravaro rājan viśvakarmakṛto mahān |
サンジャヤは言った。次いで彼は、さらに一本の幅広い鏃の矢で旗印を射貫いた。おお、敬うべき御方よ。ヴィシュヴァカルマンの手になる、偉大なる猿の紋章は、戦の暴威のただ中にあってなお、王者の武勇を示す力強き徴としてそびえ立っていた。
संजय उवाच
Even in a battlefield where weapons target visible signs of power, true strength is not merely in outward emblems but in the steadfast meaning they carry—courage, legitimacy, and the moral resolve symbolized by a righteous standard.
Sañjaya reports that a warrior strikes and pierces the chariot-banner with another bhalla arrow. The banner bears a great monkey-emblem, described as a magnificent work crafted by the divine artisan Viśvakarman.
