युधिष्ठिरस्य धनंजय-प्रति गर्हा

Yudhiṣṭhira’s Reproach to Dhanaṃjaya

श्रुतकीर्तेर्महाराज दृष्टवान्‌ कर्णविक्रमम्‌ । कुरुवंशी महाराज! युधिष्ठिरके घोड़े थक गये थे; अतः उन्होंने तुरंत ही श्रुतकीर्तिके रथपर आरूढ़ हो कर्णके पराक्रमको देखा

sañjaya uvāca |

śrutakīrter mahārāja dṛṣṭavān karṇavikramam |

サञ्जयは言った――大王よ、シュルタキールティの戦車から、彼はカルナの武威を目の当たりにした。ユディシュティラの馬が疲れ果てたため、彼はただちにシュルタキールティの戦車に乗り移り、カルナの恐るべき進撃を見定め、これに応じようとした――疲弊と戦の道義的重荷のただ中でも、指導者が務めを捨てぬ姿である。
