अर्जुनस्य द्रोणिप्रतिघातः कर्णोपसर्पणं च

अथावसज्नः स्वरथे मुहूर्तात् पुनरुत्थित: । स रणे युयुधानेन विसूताश्चरथध्वज:
athāvasajñaḥ svarathe muhūrtāt punarutthitaḥ | sa raṇe yuyudhānena visūtāś carathadhvajaḥ ||
サンジャヤは言った。彼は自らの戦車の上でしばし茫然となったが、ほどなくして再び起き上がった。戦いのただ中で、御者を失った戦車でありながら旗標によりそれと知れ、なおもユユダーナに対峙し続けた――たとえ一瞬の隙であっても克服し、戦の義務へと立ち返らねばならぬという、苛烈な戦の掟を示している。
