प्रमृद्य च रथश्रेष्ठान् युधिष्ठिरमपीडयत् । कर्ण भी अपने पैने बाणोंसे विशाल पाण्डवसेनाको हताहत करके बड़े-बड़े रथियोंको धूलमें मिलाकर युधिष्ठिरको पीड़ा देने लगा
pramṛdya ca rathaśreṣṭhān yudhiṣṭhiram apīḍayat |
サञ्जयは言った。「最上の車戦士たちを打ち砕いたのち、カルナはユディシュティラを激しく圧迫した。鋭い矢で広大なパーンダヴァ軍を次々と討ち、名だたる勇士を塵土に沈め、王に苦痛と重圧を与えようとした—それは、武勇が軍勢と士気の双方を折るために用いられる、戦の無慈悲な奔流の姿である。」
